We rented a van and waited at SMK Pengkalan Lebaiman located not far from Taman Byford until the van arrives at 4 o’clock. There were there altogether 14 of us. It took around 1 and a half hours time before we reached Ulu Lenggong Hot Spring.

After watching all my other friends dipping their feet into the pools of warm water, I no longer hesitate and dared myself to try the feeling of having my feet surrounded by warm water. It is very excruciating at first, as I can feel the boiling hot water burning and peeling off my outer skin layer by layer. But after a few minutes, the numbness of my feet overpowered my other senses and I feel nothing but the relaxing sensation. (Guess what, I will tell you a hint: if you are not used to the heat, try the pool with the lowest temperature first a.k.a. the children’s pool. Although it may be a bit humiliating, but it really works, because it works perfectly for me!)
After having a relaxing dip at the warm water pool, we had our dinner at there. Our dinner is actually tidbits from the poolside stalls. The poolside stalls sell a variety of snacks such as burgers, ice-creams, carbonated drinks and other desserts like waffles and corn in cups. Outside the hot springs are roadside stalls that sell snacks such as fried bananas and traditional Malay crackers. One can also pay a cheap fee of RM5 to camp inside the hot springs. Having a picnic or a barbeque is a fun idea. The facilities in the hot springs are complete with toilets, dormitories and chalets. The air inside the hot springs is fresh and the scenery is serene and harmonious. You can find peace in your soul and your mind inside there. We went back at 9.30pm via van and reached SMK Pengkalan Lebaiman at eleven. This shall be one of our memorable events after SPM.
